انتشرت مؤخرا في قطر أخبار تقول بعرض منتجات تحوي لحم الخنزير للبيع داخل البلاد، ولو أن بيعها انحصر عبر شركة قطر للتوزيع والتي تحمل أيضا تصريحا ببيع الكحول. ويعدّ قرار السماح ببيع لحم الخنزير تحولاً مهماً في بلد مسلم ومحافظ، فيه الكثير من القوانين الصارمة التي تحدّ من استهلاك الكحول، بالإضافة إلى سياسة الحظر التامة للحوم الخنزير سابقا

هذا التغيير المفاجئ في سياسات الحكومة القطرية استقطب العديد من الآراء في تويتر من المقيمين في قطر، سواءً كانوا مواطنين أو وافدين

بعضهم تساءل بوضوح: لمَ هذه الضجة؟

شركة قطر للتوزيع والتي تعتبر الموزع الحصري لمنتجات لحوم الخنزير والمشروبات الكحولية للاستهلاك المنزلي، هي خدمة من خدمات مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، وهو ما ادى بالطبع الى انتشار دعوات لمقاطعة شركة الطيران الوحيدة في البلاد

اذاً ما الذي تعتقده؟ هل يجب احترام معتقدات ومشاعر المسلمين في بلد محافظ أم أن هذا التصرف يندرج تحت الحق باتخاذ القرارات الشخصية؟
