استمر آلاف المتظاهرين في ميدان التحرير بالقاهرة بالهتاف ضد حسني مبارك مع الرغم من تحليق الطائرات الحربية فوق رؤوسهم،  وفي نفس الوقت بدأ توجيه النقد اللاذع ضد الولايات المتحدة لعدم اتخاذها موقفا محددا تجاه مصر.

شاهد مستخدمو النت بذهول تام إرتفاع أصوات الحشود الشجاعة الآخذة في التغلب على أصوات زئير المروحيات مع الإهتمام بالمقابلات التليفزيونية التى قامت بها وزيرة الخارجية الأمريكية هيلاري كلبينتون.
